Project Future Institute, a 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to closing the achievement gap and fostering excellence in education.

SELF™ Program – What We Do
Project Future Institute operates the SELF Empowerment Program™ (SELF™), a STEM program that uses science and math to inspire, educate, and transform at-risk students* into successful students.

SELF™ teaches concepts in brain science to show students they are not stuck with the brain/intelligence they have today; a set of attitudes, skills, and exercises referred to as “positive internal scaffolding” to teach them how they can change their brains/ intelligence; and math to prove to them they can master a challenging academic subject.

SELF™ has been offered as a summer enrichment program and can be offered as an after school program. SELF™ is designed for students ranging from rising 7th graders* through first year college students.

Project Future Institute offers SELF™ in partnership with schools and community organizations by teaching and licensing their instructors to offer the SELF™ curriculum.

Project Future Institute staff also provide workshops for parents interested in learning how they can help their children achieve in school and in life. Project Future Institute staff are also available to provide inspirational talks about why and how You have the power to change your Self-Story,* your brain, and your life.

Testimonials from teachers, parents, and community leaders about the workshops and inspirational talks can be seen at the “Testimonials” tab.

For more information about SELF™ please send an email to pfi@projfutr.org or complete the form on the “Contact Us” page.
