Project Future Institute’s Goals
Project Future Institute sponsors the SELF Empowerment Program™ (SELF™).

SELF™ was created to enable at-risk students (any students who are below grade level in mathematics) to understand that they have the power to change their Self-Stories,* their brains, and their lives. In helping students change their Self-Stories,* the key goals of SELF™ are to enable students to:

  • Have enough self-confidence to listen and respond calmly to adversity
  • Develop a Surpassing Expectations for a Limitless Future (SELF) mindset
  • Form Communities of empowered learners willing to take ownership for their education.
  • Use the attitudes and skills learned in the SELFTM Program to improve  performance.

*Self-stories are the thoughts we use to describe who we are and how we see the world.  Example “I am a great dancer.” Or, “I am not good at math.”
